The Moody Family - We Started visiting the Chiropractic Healing Center over a year and a half ago. Dr. Cheree Sandness first introduced herself to Mark at a business luncheon and talked about her Center.  For our active family that was the beginning of some very important and positive changes in our lifestyle.

Mark and I have 4 children ages 9-13 years of age.  As a family, we participate in a variety of activities which include scouting, swimming year round, basketball, football, baseball and traveling.

During our first visit, we were tested for allergies.  Because of Mark having Celiac Disease, we knew that there might be a possibility that one or more of our four children might have food allergies.  They had been tested by an allergist and diagnosed with plant allergies, but were not tested for food allergies even when the subject was brought up.  Dr. Cheree started with our first child. She tested allergic to wheat, dairy, and caffeine.  The second was the same.  The third and fourth tested allergic to wheat and dairy. So to the kids dismay, we changed their diet with the thought that after a month they could "cheat" and see what happened.  After only one week, we started to see our children perform better in their swimming (2-3 hours a night).  They were less fatigued at the end of the day. By the end of the month, we saw major improvements.  One of our sons started to grow and had significantly more strength.  When they did get to cheat, they were not able to finish the pizza that they were excited to eat.  They were tired for a couple of days and cranky.  Their abdomens were also bloated and they were not able to digest their food well.

Since then, we have seen wonderful results with our visits and have seen first hand the importance of the diagnosis of food allergies. Dr. Cheree has also been able to help our family with sports injuries and muscle fatigue from sports related stress.

Our thought on the Chiropractic Healing Center is that we love the atmosphere and the great deal of help its brought our family. We are very happy with all that has been done for us. It has truly made our lives healthier and happier.

Thank you Cheree !!!!!!!

Tricia K. Kallsen - About three years ago, I started having lower back problems.  Because it wasn't constant, I didn't go to a medical doctor until the fall of 1999. At that point I learned that I had a mild scoliosis. This shocked me.  I had plenty of the school sponsored tests growing up and no one ever indicated that I had scoliosis.  What shocked me even more was that the doctor said that this wasn't necessarily the source of my pain.  I felt further away from solving the problem than ever.  To top it off, the doctor also said that that I should stop running.  Stop running? I had planned on training for the Twin Cities Marathon in the year 2000!

I started to avoid the problem all together.  I was  only 25 at the time, so why would I have back problems?  However, just a few months later I couldn't get out of bed and I was forced to deal with the issue.  I started going to a Physical Therapist who got me into a manageable shape.  By May, the problem returned more consistently again and I decided to consult a chiropractor as I just wasn't seeing the results I had hoped to get.  Even some Physical Therapists recommended that I consult a chiropractor in addition to their treatment.  That is when I met Dr. Cheree Sandness and the rest of the staff.

I have to admit, I was very nervous to consult a chiropractor as I had no idea what it was all about.  However, Chiropractic Health and Wellness does a great job of educating their patients.  Although you have a primary doctor at the clinic, the staff does a great job of working  as a team to address your problems.  I've worked closely with Dr. Cheree, Jeff Woodward(Nutritional Consultant) and Colleen Cox (Director of Patient Education) as well as several others along the way.  I've thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone because I felt as though in all cases, we were working together to address my health care needs.  I truly felt in charge of my own health care and for once I felt as though I was qualified to help make my own health care decisions.

I'm now happy to say that I am getting better and better every day.  I'm also very proud to say that I finished the Twin Cities Marathon with a smile on my face in October 2000 (only 9 months after being bed-ridden) and I did it in 4 1/2 hours!  I may not have won in terms of time, but I really did win and there is absolutely no way that I could have accomplished this goal without the help of Dr. Cheree and the rest of the staff at the Chiropractor Health and Wellness Center.  I want to thank the entire staff from the bottom of my heart.

The Bartlett Family -  St. George, UT- My experience with Dr. Cheree began in April 2002. My son was battling continuous ear infections.  He had had the same infection for 2 1/2 months.  We had tried four different antibiotics with no result other than allergic reactions.  We were told that he needed tubes put in both ears.  He was only 8 months old!  I met with the surgeon and made the appointment, but something just didn't sit well with me.  I had a really  bad feeling that something wasn't going to go right.  The day before the surgery, Khydan got a fever of 103 degrees.  We had to cancel the surgery.  The first thing I did was to go online to search for pediatric chiropractors as there are none in St. George, UT.  I found Dr. Cheree's web site, read through her information, called and setup an appointment.  She adjusted all of us and then Khydan's palette in his mouth.  We came down to Las Vegas every week for about a month and within 2 weeks his ear infections were gone.  For the first time in 4 months, his ears were clear.  He has not had an ear infection since and he's 2 1/2 now.  His younger brother has been coming to Cheree since he was 2 weeks old.  His ears have been clear and perfect at every doctor's visit.  I trust Dr. Cheree so much with my children's health.  She and her staff are amazing!

Grandma's Success - My experience with the Chiropractic Health and Wellness Center began in November 2000.  I began running on a regular basis, increasing my mileage weekly.  In August of 2001 I started experiencing lateral knee pain while running.

To address this issue, I read a great deal of sport literature that discussed various injuries that are predominant in runners.  I tried many different treatments and nothing seemed to take the pain away.  I started becoming extremely frustrated, not only at the pain, but my goal of running Grandma's Marathon in June 2001 felt unreachable.  This led me to the yellow pages and a search for a Sports Medicine doctor to schedule an appointment.  While talking with co-workers it was brought to my attention that Chiropractic Medicine might be the answer.  Back to the yellow pages I went, calling several Chiropractic clinics with my last call to the Chiropractic Health and Wellness Center.  I enjoyed the treatment I received on the phone and figured I would give it a try.

Being willing to try anything, I had my first appointment with Dr. Cheree on November 22, 2001.  Dr. Cheree listened to my story and promised that I would make it to the start line at the Marathon.

After my first two adjustments I was told to try running.  To my surprise I ran with no pain.  I continued having adjustments and began seriously training for the Marathon.  However, despite all the progress I was making I began having pain in my left hip.  The pain caused me to cut down on my training and was emotionally difficult. There was NO WAY that I was going to stop training.  I had made it so far and I was not going to turn back.  Again, Dr. Cheree promised that she would get to the structural problem, but I had to be mentally prepared.  It was discovered that I was in need of a heel lift. After only a few weeks of wearing the heel lift,  AMAZINGLY  the pain was gone.

The training continued to progress well.  I was feeling great and continued to have weekly adjustments.  Approximately three weeks before the big day I began having problems with my right ankle and shin.  After a couple of complaining visits it became apparent that I no longer needed the heel lift.  Yeah!

Two weeks until the race and I was feeling great.  It was FINALLY time to taper off as my body was holding up well.

June 16, 2001 came surprisingly fast.  Standing at the start line, feeling nervous about what was to come, I was confident that I had done all that I could do to prepare my body.  All I had to do was cross the finish line...

4 Hours and 19 minutes later I did cross the finish line.  I felt GREAT! The race was more fun than I could have imagined and I was ready to do it again and will soon.  I have never been more grateful to anyone than Dr. Cheree, who is the reason why I was able to successfully complete my first marathon.  During each of my visits I felt that my aches and pains were important to Dr. Cheree and that everything was being done to see that I was able to reach my goal.
